More pics from around the house

His big thing lately is eye contact.  He'll flat out stare at you.  This is him from this weekend eyeballing my Pop. 30 seconds before he was grinning like the cat that ate the canary.

Go figure I can only catch him smiling when he's sleeping.

Is that smell you or me??

Buuurrrrrp!

Big Day Out!

This Tuesday we made it our mission to get out of the house in the morning to get some fresh air.  Promptly at 3:30 pm, we were ready and decided to brave the post-inauguration crowds and the cold and head to Old Town for a little walking around.

After wrapping Owen in every piece of clothing we had, we stuffed him (and me) into the baby Bjorn and headed out; fast as a herd of turtles.

Dad, styling with the Baby Bjorn Classic, here shown in elegant black.

Family photo.  he's really cute in this one. Trust me.

Spicy cheese soup + baby's head = LOUD NOISES

(note:  baby was not harmed or even slightly touched by the soup.  The napkin was me wanting soup and not wanting to wait for Dayna to fish a bib out of the baby bag for his little noggin.)

Random pictures from this week

Someone smells bad...

Don't laugh, you know you want your own butt heater.  I know I do.

Dad's hat is a little big yet.

I came back to bed and look who was in my spot.

Mommy puts him right to sleep.

(It's the flash that is making Mom look a little washed out,
not the fact that we've only been outside twice in a month. )

WE made it! One month old.

Dad? Is that you Dad?  I've been hearing about you for a while now...

He's kind of a heavy sleeper...
baby fauxhawk.

So peaceful.

Me, Dayna, my grandmother, and Owen. Nice hat, dude.

Hanging out, enjoying the sunshine.

Dreaming of warming weather.

Fat boy chillin in the sunshine

2 weeks!

OK, so we've made it two weeks and I'm catching major heat for not updating the blog quickly enough.  All apologies.  Since you all have no desire to hear me prattle on, I'll cut straight to the pics.

Leaving the hospital.  Sleeping in his car seat.
In his room.  Sleeping on his big boy bed...
First bath at home.  This time he was not sleeping.
Post bath and post eating.  Sleeping.

Hanging out in Dad's lap.  This kid sleeps more than our Labrador did.
He's Awake!  Bath number two rouses him from his reverie.
And then he's out again.
Bath number 3 - first submergence.  This was NOT a happy moment, but as usual, he rcovered quickly.
Believe it or not, he actually likes having his hair washed.
Our little burrito boy.
Magoo hanging in Daddy's spot in bed.
Lil Hokie in his Moses basket.
Prepping for game day.
